This well known brass of the Andrewe family crest and coat of arms dates to 1450AD, and is mounted in the chapel floor of Holy Trinity Church in Charwelton, Northamptonshire, England. It was commissioned by Thomas Andrewe; the first of four generations of Thomas Andrewes'along with wives and children interred or memorialized here. This remarkable brass shows the coat of arms consisting of shield with saltrie (cross of St.Andrew)center bottom, with the upper center quadrant displaying an upturned crescent indicating distinguished service.Knight likley Robert 1077. Above is the ancient family crest showing a knight's helmet with a rosette Honor on the neck plate meaning loyalty and prowess in service. Atop the helmet the Saracen Head means he killed an enemy in battle on the First Crusade
